PRP-System

PRP is a modern treatment method in which the body's own growth factors are introduced into the joint or other damaged tissue, which accelerates the recovery process.

 

During a PRP treatment, blood is taken from the horse. The platelets and part of the white blood cells are filtered from the blood. The platelets contain a high concentration of growth factors that promote the recovery process. After filtration, the growth factors are injected in the injured location. The whole procedure takes place on a standing horse under light sedation and is not painful.

 

PRP gives a kickstart, as it were. Growth factors and white blood cells are placed in the right place in high concentration and ensure a better and faster recovery
